Описание к видео Numerical Modeling of Rock Fracturing Processes in Geomechanics

Geomechanica's president, Dr. Omid Mahabadi gave this talk as part of the TVSeminars October 2020 seminar. In this presentation, Dr. Mahabadi talks about the challenges of numerical modelling of rock fracturing processes, gives an overview of conventional numerical tools, then introduces Geomechanica's Irazu software based on the finite-discrete element method (FDEM). A number of practical case studies are provided, including open pit slope stability, blasting and caving development, cavern excavations, and effect of rock support on underground excavations.
