Officers Catch Walmart Shoplifter As Another Man Was Being Arrested For Shoplifting

On 10/29/2021,
Officers were dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. When officer arrived on scene she spoke with a manager who stated that the suspect had tried to steal some items. She advised that the suspect used self-checkout lane and did not scan some of the items he brought to the check out lane, but he put them in a bag.

officers were flagged down in reference to an individual, the second suspect, who was in the store and had a Clarke County warrant.

Officers had contact with the suspect in the menswear section of the store. Dispatch confirmed that the warrant was valid and they advised place a hold. the suspect was placed under arrest (DL, BB).

Managment advised to both suspects that they were both barred from this location for a aperiod of two years.

The suspects were transporetd to the Clarke County Jail and turned over to Deputies without incident.
