Hyperlite Mountain Gear MID-1 MID•1 MID1 Ultralight 1 Person Tent - 1st Impressions

The Hyperlite Mountain Gear MID•1 that I ordered at Trail Days came in and it is definitely typical HMG bomber quality. The build quality is extremely high. Mine weighed in at just over 17 ounces. This is from my 1st weekend overnight with it on the Appalachian Trail in New York near Pawling. I plan to do a more detailed review once I get more time in it.

The tent can be pitched with 4 stakes. However, it works better with 6. The 4 corners should be pretty beefy stakes, as they take all the load holding the tent up. There is an extra tie off point on the pole peak as well as perimeter wall tie outs.
