In this video, we'll delve into the concept of market capitalization and explain why it's a more accurate measure of a company's worth than share price alone. We'll also explore some common misconceptions about market capitalization and provide practical tips on how to use it effectively in your investment decisions.

What is Market Capitalization?

Imagine you own a bakery with 100 cupcakes, and each cupcake costs ₹100. The total value of your bakery would be ₹10,000, which is your bakery's market capitalization. Similarly, a company's market capitalization is determined by multiplying its total number of outstanding shares by its current share price.

Why Share Price Alone Isn't Enough

A high share price can be misleading because it doesn't take into account the number of shares outstanding. For instance, a company with 100 shares priced at ₹100 has a market capitalization of ₹10,000. But another company with 10,000 shares priced at ₹10 also has a market capitalization of ₹10,000, even though its share price is significantly lower.

This is why comparing share prices directly can be inaccurate. Instead, market capitalization provides a more meaningful comparison of companies' sizes and values.

I hope you understand the topic discussed in the video. Happy investing and keep learning....
