Low light photography of the neon lights from all parts of the city of Hong Kong for neon photography. You can get some real dreamy surreal neon photos from all the signs. Truly beautiful.

I spent two weeks in 2018 during the summer in Hong Kong doing a photography tour. By that I mean that I spent the whole time solely focusing on taking Hong Kong neon signs photos.

Hong Kong is as great place for photography or for a photoshoot. So if you are a photographer, I suggest you do Hong Kong travel for neon photography. It's a source of inspiration for many cyberpunk photography as well.

To be completely honest I do not know the names of the locations well since I am not from that city. But The majority of neon lights can be found around Mong Kok and Yaumatei. It should be no problem since it seems most hostels are located in that area.

Additionally, if you ask any Hong Kong photographer, most of them will recommend that area. Since that is where the most neon noir is available. You are sure to get most of the night street photography in that area of Hong Kong.

The sad thing is that although Hong Kong is great for street photography at night, the neon signs that makeup the urban landscape are being pulled down this year. So I suggest doing some Hong Kong travel soon before they are gone. Hong Kong night street photography is also great for those interested in cyberpunk photography. Ghost in the shell and other popular cyberpunk culture related things got their inspiration from the earlier days of Hong Kong photography.
