Tand Invitational 2024 Official Highlights - Mike Stewart

The Tand Invitational 2024 went down on the 25th July on the west coast of South Africa in a coastal town known as Paternoster. The ocean delivered some amazing waves and the sun came out to set the stage for an incredibly action packed day of bodyboarding welcoming Mike Stewart for the first time to the event.

We were honoured to be welcomed by the Khoisan King, indigenous to the land in this area. The Khoisan people have inhabited the west coast of South Africa for tens of thousands of years. Archaeological evidence suggests their presence in the region dates back at least 20,000 to 40,000 years, with some estimates going as far back as 100,000 years. They are considered one of the oldest continuous populations of humans on Earth.
