Qila Attari Daska (Fort of Sahi Sardar family of Daska):

Qila Attari was the Fort of Sahi Sadar family of Daska which was situated in the huge area at the top of the tibba in Old Daska (close to main bazar. In the ancient times it was built with mud and soil, later on it was demolished and made with the NANAK SHAHI bricks before the reign of Bhangi Sardars. Sardar Nawaheedar Singh Sahi (later on Chaudhry Nawaheedar Khan Sahi) who was the ancestor Chaudhry Munawwar Nasrullah Khan Sahi, was born there. During the Bhangi rule when he converted to Islam he left the Attari Qila and built his own Havelis and Dera at Wadala road Daska whereas his real brothers and cousins who remained Sikh stayed there in the Attari Qila. Sardar Balwant Singh Sahi, who was the grandson of Chaudhry Nawaheedar Khan Sahi’s real brother, was the commanding officer in Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s army. Later on his son Baba Jee Laal Singh became Zaildar of Daska and he lived in Attari Qila. Baba Jee Laal Singh had two sons Sardar Bishan Singh and Sardar Eeshar Singh Sahi. Sardar Bishan Singh Sahi got married to the granddaughter of Risaldar Major Sardar Bahadur Sardar Maan Singh Radiala and sister of Sardar Sb Sardar Rajwant Singh and Sardar Bahadur Sardar Harbans Singh Sb of Rajkot. Baba Jee Bishan Singh’s sons Sardar Shivdev Singh Sahi and Sardar Rashpal Singh Sahi later on built their Moran Waali Kothi and another Kothi and moved there. Baba Jee Eeshar Singh Sahi had two daughters, one got married in Virks of Chabaran and the second got married in Kharas. Famous Sardar Kuldeep Singh Virk and Legendary Air Commodore Mehr Singh Khara (famous as Mehr Baba) were his grandsons.
Sardar Sohan Singh Sahi Sb’s sons
Bapu Jee Kishan Singh Sahi, Sardar Lakshman Singh, Sardar Zail Singh, Sardar Kartar Singh Sahi also lived there. Bapu Jee Kishan Singh Jee was very famous and largely respected in the area and the whole village addressed him as “BAPU JEE”.
Another Bazurg who lived there was Sardar Balwant Singh Sahi Sb and he had three sons Sardar Zaimal Singh Numberdar, Sardar Gyan Singh and Sardar Natha Singh Sahi Sb.
