Maryland Snakehead Fishing With Frogs! (EPIC Action)

Описание к видео Maryland Snakehead Fishing With Frogs! (EPIC Action)

Our last snakehead expedition into Maryland was so epic that we HAD to go back! The topwater action that we saw on frogs just a week and a half ago was insane, and the prespawn bite is fully underway! Matty and I took our kayaks back to the same spot to catch more snakeheads, and we weren't disappointed. We fished with frogs and the snakeheads were being tricky, but we still got quite a few nice fish to commit to hitting the frogs.

When the snakeheads go into prespawn mode, the can become very aggressive, and that's what we saw on this snakehead fishing excursion. We had lots of hits, and missed a lot of fish, but the end result was a successful day of snakehead fishing in Maryland. Matty and I are looking forward to many more awesome Maryland snakehead fishing trips this year! I've already caught a dragon over there, but there are plenty more to be caught.

The frog that I used to catch my snakeheads in this video was the snakehead outlawz venom frog. You can buy one for yourself at this link below. I highly recommend them!

IMPORTANT NOTE: While Snakeheads are a non-native species, biologists have discovered over the last few years that the damage they cause to the ecosystem is not nearly what was once expected. Many bodies of water containing these fish have successfully adapted to their presence. I encourage you to thoroughly research the data that is out their regarding snakeheads before you make an uninformed comment saying that we should have killed the fish. That being said, everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding these fish. We simply ask that your opinion be formed on actual data and research, not what you heard from a friend or read on facebook.

The body of water that we fished already has a healthy population of snakeheads. Killing a few fish would do absolutely nothing in regards to eradicating the species from that body of water. Instead, you'd be wasting the life of a perfectly good gamefish. Here at Orange 22 Fishing, we encourage you to practice catch and release on all species of fish, including snakeheads. We will continue to do so, and we hope you will do the same as well.

No matter your opinion on this topic, we do thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel!

Tight lines,
Dave and Matt
