Somewhere the Stars Still Shine [Sawanwa Language]

#Fantasymusic #OriginalSong
This song is written in Sawanwa, the language of the Saawanooki (Shawnee People) of which half of my heritage comes from. There are only a few dozen people left who can speak the language, and it's considered critically endangered. To do my part in keeping that part of my heritage alive, I'm slowly learning it and utilizing it with my personal style of music.

Translated Lyrics:

Eclipse of the sun,
Eclipse of the moon,
Night song, moon song,
I sing, I sing
I see a shooting star,
something unknown,
I weep, I weep

Eclipse of the Sun,
Eclipse of the Moon
They whisper to each other
(I heard it, I heard it)
They sing a song over a grave
(I heard it, I heard it)
Night Song, Moon Song,
They whisper to each other
