This is the first chapter of a four-part series looking at Scotland's marine energy sector.

The world needs clean, reliable, renewable energy urgently to fight climate change. Chapter 1 explores the important role marine energy will play in our future energy mix helping to overcome the energy trilemma.

Scotland is leading the way in developing a global marine energy industry. The sector is at a tipping point, ready to build out arrays, harness the global market opportunity and become part of the new energy mix.
