Tarot de Marseilles: a brief history

As tarot evolves from a form of miniature art painting for the rich to a set of playing cards for everyday entertainment, designs are codified into a style known as Tarot de Marseilles. In this video I talk about the distinct aspects of this style, some variations within it, and examples of historic reproductions on the market today.
