Well well well ladies and gentlemen as of india’s 2021 wasn’t busy enough a new series with 3 odis and 3 t20s against sri lanka has been announced by the bcci but don’t worry the indian squad that will be in england for the wtc final wont go to sri lanka this is india and we are spoilt for choice when it comes to the options for crickters

So lets take a quixck look at the schedule

13-19 jul will see three odis between the two sides and the t20s will start on 22 and finish on the 27th if july

With the test team in england we could see some new uncapped players get a chance to play for india and we could also see some returning faces for the white ball series so lets take a look at the possible 16 man squad that could go to sri lanka



As captain and opener I have shikhar dhawan he has shown great form in t20s and odis lately and with shreyas iyer not in the delhi squad he was able to take that senior player role in the delhji squad very comforatably and I think he could do the same for leading india into the series as the captain



But a striker needs a non striker and I think this could see the return of prithvi shaw into the indian side previously he was plauged with inconsistency in the ipl and the border gavasjar trophy but he turned it around in the syedmushtaq ali trophy by being the highest run scorer and he showed good form in the ipl combine that with the fact that he has played alongside shikar dhawan for delhi we may see redemption for prithvi shaw
