I bring you a look at the upper Peconic River. Due to the season and water temperatures I took the opportunity to get the upper portion from above. This video will most like catch the interest of visitors as well as locals who haven’t explored the Peconic yet. I’m relatively new to kayaking, I use an inflatable for storage and transport reasons. At the time of posting this video, I have part 2 nearly ready and mostly from the kayak. I recommend that inexperienced paddlers look into organized trips that drop you off upstream, and pick you up somewhere downstream. For those with their own kayaks… paddle upstream from one of the access points, the paddle downstream is noticeably easier. I do plan to add videos about the rental options, maybe some organized trips as well as the food options on the River.
