Our third panel in this series turns our attention to the lives of those seeking asylum at the U.S. Mexican border and the work of Catholic Charities and other organizations to address the many challenges faced by immigrants as they adjust to life in the State of New York and elsewhere in the U.S.

This is the third panel in our “NDNY Beyond the Comfort Zone” series. We are ND, formed and inspired to be a “force for good” in this world. In this critical time, we ask ourselves what this responsibility means for us individually and as a community. How do we transform ourselves to respond to the task before us?

The NDNY Beyond the Comfort Zone series is designed with this question in mind and is intended to be a transformative journey. Our ultimate goal is to engage in a conversation within the Notre Dame community that leads to concrete actions and measurable outcomes, to make “We are ND” into a statement about our impact and not just our intentions.

This panel has been put together by the NDNY Intercultural Diversity and Inclusion Committee, led by Rona Reodica ‘01 and Edward Augustine, Esq., in partnership with the Hispanic Alumni of Notre Dame.
