ANCHOR INTRO An exhibit at the University of Illinois that will provide the unanswered questions about life on the moon.

Featured from August to December at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library is an exhibit that will bring you back to space.

Exhibition will hold valuable scientific and literary information providing visitors with a better explanation of our moon's past.

Martin Stromberg curator of the exhibit has a passion about space and telling people about our moon's history.

"Essentially what we tried to do with this exhibit was to trace the history both of telescopic discoveries about the moon and how that engaged with the literature"

Patrick Fadely co-curator works on early scientific texts and the exhibit provides him with a novel perspective on space.

"We also have a couple of items that were actually taken to the moon by one of the Apollo mission's for example we have a lunar map that was actually used to guide the lunar rover around the lunar surface and on that map there are smudges of moon dust"

With a moon rock sample on loan from NASA followed by rare literature by authors Roman Lucien and H.G Wells these readings tell about the first telescopic observations of the moon.
