Welcome to another Historical Horses video

I wanted to combine my love of horses and history together. Really this is just my excuse to look up and research horses in times gone by.
Horses have a very different role in life now, mainly used for sport and leisure, where as in past they have played a vital role in keeping Britain moving.

This week we are looking back at the brave pit ponies.
These plucky little ponies worked in extreme conditions deep down in the coal mines pulling tubs full of coal.
