The Cooper 1.5 mile or 2.4 km test is a simple test running for aerobic fitness, this can also be used to calculate an individuals VO2 max.

This is an amazing test for people to do as it is simple and easy to perform, easy to track improvements as all you will need is a treadmill and a stop watch. This test is quite simple to perform as it basically puts an individual on a treadmill at their own pace and can adjust to how they feel. Walking is allowed and there is no need for the gradient/ incline to be increased. The goal of the test is to achieve the shortest possible time.
