================================
Ever since this behemoth of an obby released over 1,000 days ago I have always dreamed of completing it in Hardcore mode, and on March 31st, 2023 - almost 3 years after it's official release - it has been done. This was by far my worst and most stressful grind ever in this game, despite being miles ahead of all competition, due to the constant amount of physics changes over the past 2 years, causing me to question whether or not I would be able to complete this obby before a drastic change completely breaking the entire thing, destroying all of my progress.

As for Stairway to Heaven itself, it is definitely not as hard as most people consider it to be. Most people have a very distorted view on the obby due to their experience coming from a single all-jump run, likely from over 2 years ago. The obby became surprisingly consistent once me and a few people found strategies for most jumps. STH is also much more forgiving than most people think - almost the entire second half of the obby is entirely netted. A good amount of the difficulty comes from a few specific parts; most notably: the headhitter (1:26), the lodgewalk (4:06), the infamous spheres (4:23), and the luck-based ragdoll (5:39) just to name a few.

My experience with this obby was long one. It started back in June 2020, in which I all-jumped the obby in around 7 hours. Progress would soon slow down significantly from there until around November 2021 where I decided to try and get the world record on hardcore mode, ultimately fulfilling that goal (simply passing the headhitter). From there, I would slowly, over the next year and a half, practice the obby by doing runs from certain areas. I had the obby down in 6 runs in June 2022, at this point, I knew the obby was more than doable for me. I started to focus more on the beginning quarter of the obby (easily the hardest part) until I reached a personal best of the infamous sphere jumps in September 2022. Grinding the obby became much more infuriating from this point on, mostly due to the lack of anyone knowing about my grind - the only person who I had told at this point was Obbyboi435, but I knew that if I made my grind public I would be more prone to having my completion be stolen by player, so I decided to stay under the radar for a while. I grinded some more extremely difficult stuff publicly to make myself seem occupied (Tower of Eternal Void and Citadel of Infinite Void), but I always had this in the back of my head while grinding those. I would continue to write my entire experience, but the description would be too long for YouTube.

I would like to thank a few people in particular for making this completion possible in the first place:
ObbyBoi435 - Being there with me since the start and always encouraging me whenever I felt defeated or upset with the obby.
Drake6431 - Inspiring me a ton to play this obby with his many STH streams, without him I would have likely never even considered attempting this obby.
Cycllx - General motivation and support over the past few months, while also assisting me with finding strategies for a few particular jumps.
KubaloPL - Providing me with a proper way to practice the obby without having to climb it with the tedious 2 minute checkpoint timer.
FerGT07 - Making this museum worthy thumbnail (seriously this has got to be the best obby thumbnail EVER)

Special thanks to these people, whether that be for being good friends, helping me out, or just direct/indirect motivation:
