Trying to figure out how to erase the break and get the OO siren exercise work?

Understanding the second formant / harmonic and how vowels relate to it was a HUGE KEY moment in my singing learning journey.

I had no idea what vowel modification meant, and thought it was just changing the vowel, but once it clicked that what I want to change is the second harmonic resonance placement and not the vowel itself, EVERYTHING changed.

Vowels naturally change the second harmonic in your speaking or singing voice. Vowel modification when applied correctly is just a hack for your brain to connect what you're singing to what resonance placement you need to have for that pitch. You can keep the same vowel, but "thinking" a different vowel can get your vocal tract shape to change and thus achieve the desired second harmonic -- THAT is what matters.

Next time you sing, try to track your second harmonic and not just your first (pitch), see if that can help ya like it helps me
