In Conversation with Mr Sourav Banerjee, Country Director - Room to Read, India

In an exclusive interview with TechConnect, Mr Sourav Banerjee opens up about his experience of working for Room to Read which transforms primary schools into child-friendly learning environments. The organization primarily advocates for gender equality and the right to quality education for all. He talks about the initial challenges faced by Room to Read in terms of creating impact and scaling-up initiatives, which led them to develop a scaffolded intervention model based on the “I Do, We Do, You Do” approach, that targets sustainability through government collaboration and ownership. He also elaborated on how the organization tried to mitigate the learning crisis created by school closures during the Covid pandemic.
