मंडळी, सध्या सुरू असलेल्या इराण-इस्रायल युद्धाचे पडसाद आता जगभर उमटताना दिसत आहेत. या युद्धाचा भारतावरही मोठा परिणाम होण्याची शक्यता आहे, आणि त्यामागे ठोस कारणही आहे. कारण भारत हा जगातला तिसरा सर्वात मोठा कच्च्या तेलाचा खरेदीदार आणि ग्राहक देश आहे. नुकताच अमेरिकेसोबत व्यापार करार झाल्यानंतर भारताने तेल खरेदीच्या धोरणात थोडा बदल केला. त्यामुळे काही दिवसांपासून भारतीय बंदरांवर रशियन तेलाऐवजी ओपेक देशांचं, विशेषतः सौदी अरेबियाचं तेल घेऊन येणारे टँकर जास्त दिसू लागले होते. पण आता या इराणच्या युद्धामुळे जगाचं लक्ष पुन्हा एकदा होर्मुझ स्ट्रेटकडे गेलं आहे. हा खूप अरुंद पण खूप महत्त्वाचा समुद्री मार्ग आहे. कारण भारतात येणारं जवळपास निम्मं तेल या मार्गातूनच येतं. दरम्यान, इराणने असा इशारा दिलाय की होर्मुझ स्ट्रेटमधून जाणाऱ्या जहाजांवर हल्ला केला जाऊ शकतो. त्यामुळे जर हा मार्ग बंद झाला, तर जगभरात तेलाच्या पुरवठ्यावर मोठा परिणाम होऊ शकतो, अशी भीती व्यक्त केली जातेय. म्हणजेच पुढे मोठं तेल संकट निर्माण होण्याची शक्यता देखील नाकारता येत नाही. म्हणूनच आता प्रश्न असा पडतो की सध्या भारताकडे किती दिवसांचा तेलसाठा आहे ? जर हे युद्ध लांब चाललं, तर भारताकडे काही बॅकअप प्लॅन आहे का ? आणि या सगळ्या घडामोडींचा आपल्या अर्थव्यवस्थेवर आणि सर्वसामान्य माणसावर नेमका काय परिणाम होऊ शकतो ? याच सगळ्या प्रश्नांचा घेतलेला हा सविस्तर आढावा..
