Blink Security Camera System in 2022 - Local Recording or Subscription?

Today, I'm going to share my experience on the Blink Security Camera System and see if this system is still going to be relevant in 2022. They started off offering free cloud recordings when they started but changed to a subscription based model last year and they barely made any upgrades on their system and just added their video doorbell and a couple of accessories this year. You are lucky if you are grandfathered in and have opened an account with them before 04/16/2020 because you will still enjoy the 7200 seconds of free cloud recording on all your Blink devices.

I tested their local recording in this video which will apply to new users if they choose not to have a subscription and I'll tell you that Blink has crippled this option and it is up to you if you want to stay and record locally or go subscribe and use the flash drive recording option as a backup.
