We all know the four seasons — summer, autumn, winter, and spring. But did you know that Australia’s First Nations people have their own seasonal calendars, based on local weather patterns and the environment? Recently, Melbourne’s Lord Mayor suggested that Victorians should move away from the traditional four-season model and adopt a six-season Wurundjeri calendar instead.
