The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has made full use of artificial intelligence to make Hajj and Umrah easier for pilgrims.
According to Al-Watan newspaper, in connection with the spread of Corona epidemic all over the world, the relevant institutions took advantage of the technology to facilitate Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. Digital bracelets, smart cards, health applications, robots, smart screens and digital systems have been used in various tasks.
Experts have said that "the use of artificial intelligence has raised the standard of facilities and the work of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims has started to be done faster".
Assistant Secretary Hajj and Umrah and Spokesperson Engineer Hisham Saeed said that the Ministry has taken full advantage of technology and artificial intelligence. The Etemarna app has been set up on modern lines so that visitors can easily obtain permission to pray in Umrah, Masjid-ul-Haram and Roza-e-Sharifa.
Hisham Saeed said, "It is important for those coming from abroad to register on the (Kadum) platform on arrival in the country and then get the permits through the Etemarna app."
A spokesman for the ministry said: "The ministry's international Umrah network is efficient and fast. Umrah companies and institutions are benefiting from it within the ambit of the law."
Information technology expert Saeed Al-Dowighri said, "It is important for Umrah pilgrims to download the trust and confidence app, from which pilgrimage, umrah and prayer permits can be obtained."
