Blue Angels F-4 Phantoms - jet team F-4J Airailimages

Notes accompanying this color film footage of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels flying F-4J Phantoms says it was made in March, 1970. The Blues flew the Phantom beginning in 1969, transitioning to the A-4 Skyhawk in 1974 after a 1973 Phantom mishap, one of several collisions involving the Blue Angels F-4s.
Any Blue Angels flight demonstration is impressive. When performed with the big, powerful, noisy, smoky F-4J Phantom, it was an awesome, sometimes almost ponderous spectacle.
