"Last Run" of The Eureka

Описание к видео "Last Run" of The Eureka

Before you comment here, did you read the description at all? At the time, this locomotive was not slated to ever get another FRA Inspection, therefore, it was to be the "last run", While things have changed since 2012 when this was shot and uploaded. In 2021, the Eureka would make her first trip outside of the Las Vegas area with a trip to the Cumbres and Toltec.

Disclaimer: While the "Eureka" may run again here or elsewhere, it may be a very long time before that happens. The locomotive is due for FRA (Federal Railway Administration) Mandated inspections. Without this, the locomotive can not run on railroads such as the Durango and Silverton seen here.

(Editor Note:: I hate the autofocus, this was all shot with a point and shoot camera with no focus adjustment, hence the camera lens movement.)
Video shot from The Eureka & Palisade #4's Southbound trip from Silverton Colorado to the isolated siding at Tacoma. This was shot on August 20, 2012. Our locations take us from the Silverton Depot, to the "Timber Bridge" on the outskirts of town. Farther South, we make stops at "King Mine", Elk Park, Needleton Tank, Tefft, and "Cement Wall" and finally take on water at Tank Creek.

ThisWould be the last trip of the Eureka In Colorado until 2021. In 2021 it returned to the Cumbres and Toltec to be part of its Victorian in Iron Horse Roundup. There is shared the stage with sister locomotive the Glenbrook, from the Nevada state railroad museum. Also in attendance were the Rio Grande Southern 20 From the Colorado railroad museum in Golden Colorado near Denver, Denver and Rio grande 425, and Denver & Rio Grande 168
