Valle del Cauca is one of the most biodiverse departments in Colombia. There are many places where you can enjoy an incredible experience with nature and perform activities such as bird watching in a region with more than 250 endemic bird species. Some of those places are located at KM 18, 40 minutes from Cali Colombia. These places are Finca La Conchita (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L7..., Finca Alejandría (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L2...) and the Minga Ecolodge (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L5....
In Finca La Conchita (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L7..., 116 species of birds have been reported, among which the Colombian Chachalaca (https://ebird.org/species/colcha1) stands out, and also some hummingbird species such as the Bronzy Inca (https://ebird.org/species/broinc1) and the Andean Emerald(https://ebird.org/species/andeme1). There you can also enjoy delicious local food.
Another of the most famous places is Finca Alejandría (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L2..., commonly known as the paradise of hummingbirds and where 344 species of birds and 30 species of hummingbirds are reported.
And finally, there is the Minga Ecolodge (https://ebird.org/colombia/hotspot/L5.... There you will see 17 different species of hummingbirds and 30 different species of tanagers, including the Multicolored Tanager (https://ebird.org/species/multan1). You can also find Quetzals and Toucanets species.
