The Hisense U5120G is a 5.1.2 channel soundbar with a wireless subwoofer that claims to deliver Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound effects. It has a total output power of 510W, with 180W coming from the subwoofer. The soundbar has 12 speakers in total, including nine front-firing, two side-firing and two up-firing drivers. The subwoofer is a compact 8-inch unit that connects wirelessly to the soundbar and can be placed anywhere in the room. The sound quality of the Hisense U5120G is decent for its price range. The soundbar produces clear and crisp dialogue and vocals, thanks to its dedicated center channel. The subwoofer adds some punch and depth to the bass, but it can sound boomy and muddy at times. The surround and height effects are not very convincing, as they rely on psychoacoustics to create a virtual soundstage. The soundbar works best in small to medium-sized rooms with flat walls and ceilings, as it bounces the sound off them to create a sense of immersion. However, in larger or irregular-shaped rooms, the sound can lose its directionality and clarity.
