Описание к видео CaringKind In the Know | Trends, Testing & Treatments: What’s New in Dementia Care

CaringKind In the Know hosted by Jed Levine
Trends, Testing & Treatments: What’s New in Dementia Care

Join us for an informal conversation with two leading experts in the field of dementia care as we explore the latest developments in research, early detection, and treatment options. This chat is designed for anyone interested in understanding how science is evolving to better diagnose, manage, and reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

Our guests will share insights into latest research studies, promising clinical trials, advances in brain imaging and biomarkers, and what new therapies are showing the most hope. Whether you're a caregiver, healthcare professional, or simply curious about brain health, this is a chance to ask questions and learn from the experts.

Speakers:
Lawrence S Honig, MD, PhD
Dr. Honig, is a Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, in the Department of Neurology (Division of Aging and Dementia), the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain, the Gertrude H. Sergievsky Center, and at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He directs the New York State Center of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease. He is a principal investigator on clinical drug trials and observational research studies for multiple neurodegenerative conditions.

Mary Sano, PhD
Mary Sano, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, and this year’s recipient of the lifetime achievement award from the Alzheimer Association and the International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) Service Achievement award.
