Он родился в Ченстохове в 1925г. и один из нескольких евреев выжил фашистское гетто Ченстохова. Остальных, около 45000, не стало. После войны он жил в Швеции, врач, профессор радиотерапии, президент Европейской федерации онкологических обществ, председатель Нобелевской ассамблеи Каролинского института, член парламента. Умер в 2000г. Нина, 1925 - 2002,пережила Варшавское гетто, тоже была врачом. Автор и исполнитель песни Яков Рехтцайт родился в Польше в 1903г. Попал в Америку в 1923г. благодаря своему таланту и таланту брата Сеймура, т.к. Сеймур с отцом смогли приехать в Америку в 1920г., а остальным членам семьи визы не давали из-за существующей квоты. А визы дали после того, как Сеймур принял участие в концерте для президента и президент был так тронут исполнением, и исполнителем, и самой песней, что визы получила вся семья и воссоединилась. Какая песня была исполнена, я не нашла. Яков умер в 1988г.
