Your 6 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Jan. 1, 2026: Light snow showers will arrive around sunset this afternoon. This snow will hit mainly after dark as the atmosphere cools down. This will make it easier for snow to accumulated on the roadways.

Winds will veer to the west tonight as the widespread snow moves out. Purely lake snow starting overnight through midday Friday.

Expect another coating for the area tonight. The snowbelt will see an additional 1 to 5 inches by Saturday morning. Localize higher totals where lake bands persists.
