How To Change Your RingCentral Phone Number (Step-by-Step Guide)

Whether you’re rebranding, moving locations, or simply need a new business number, RingCentral makes it easy to change your phone number through your account settings.

Follow these steps to update your number quickly and safely.

🔹 Step 1: Log In to Your RingCentral Account

Go to https://service.ringcentral.com

Enter your email or phone number and password, then click Sign In.

Once logged in, you’ll be redirected to your RingCentral Admin Portal.

🔹 Step 2: Go to the Admin Portal (If Applicable)

If you’re an administrator, you can manage all users’ numbers.

Click Admin Portal from the dashboard.

Navigate to Phone System → Phone Numbers.

🔹 Step 3: Choose “Company” or “User” Number

You can change:

Company Number – your main business number.

User Number – a specific employee or extension’s number.

Click the number you want to change.

🔹 Step 4: Select “Change Number”

Click Change Number.

Choose your country, state, and area code (for a new local number).

Browse the list of available numbers.

Select your preferred number and click Next.

🔹 Step 5: Confirm and Save Changes

Review the details and confirm your selection.

Depending on your plan, RingCentral may charge a small fee for changing your number.

Click Finish to complete the process.

Your new number should activate within a few minutes to a few hours.

⚙️ Optional: Port an Existing Number

If you want to keep your current number but move it to RingCentral:

Go to Phone System → Phone Numbers → Port In.

Follow the guided number porting process.

Upload your Letter of Authorization (LOA) and recent bill from your carrier.

Processing can take 7–10 business days.
