This air conditioner is located in the kitchen of my family's former rented house. I used to have individual videos of each air conditioner in this house (Crystal, Samsung, Denpoo, and Akira). But unfortunately, the video files of the others are gone due to my old laptop broken down, and these files are saved in the old laptop before it broke. Only the files of this exact air conditioner remain as I still have it on my camera.

Chinese air conditioners are quite familiar with their rebadge products. A lot of Chinese AC companies have been rebadging products from a few air conditioner brands, especially Japanese ACs, one of which is this Crystal, an unfamiliar brand of air conditioner based on Midea! I honestly don't really know the full history of Crystal air conditioners, but I have seen quite a lot of them when I was little. This particular unit has the exact same beep sound which is kinda annoying to hear (old Midea's typical), remote, and outdoor design as Midea. It consumes a quite high power consumption for a 0.5 hp air conditioner (old Chinese air conditioner's typical), but its extravagant power consumption is paid off with the cold air it consumes, very very cold!

Okay, you may consider or think that Chinese products are known for their bad and cheap build quality. But hey, that statement isn't actually that accurate. I do agree some Chinese products have cheap and garbage build quality, but that doesn't mean every Chinese pride is bad, there are still some products made in China that have good quality. The old Midea OEM you're seeing right now is a prime example that not every Chinese product is bad. Even newer Mideas are still good enough in terms of build quality. Need another example? Gree air conditioners, they're believed as number 1 of the best Chinese air conditioners ever made. The downside is they have boring and bland designs indeed, even current Panasonic and Daikin air conditioners' designs are not as interesting as their discontinued design anymore. SUUPPEEERR BORING!
