A woman enjoying some time in Aruba came across a stone-looking dog – it had no hair, and the skin was lumpy and hard. The woman knew she had to get the pup some medical attention right away. She immediately phoned the Sgt. Pepper’s Friend’s Foundation so the rescue group could pick the canine up. The rescuer, Melissa, said, “He looked like a walking stone when I found him. I knew I wanted to help so I opened the car door and he jumped right in.” The group realized right away that the dog had sarcoptic manage – the worst case of the disease they had ever seen. It was so bad; they wondered how the dog was still living. They understood that it would take a fair bit of time before the little canine would feel 100 percent, but you could tell he was happy to see help and have relief.
