Bengal Foundation organized "Praner Khela" musical soiree in Chhayanaut Auditorium, Dhanmondi, Dhaka in February 2, 2008. The celebrated Rabindra Sangeet artiste Iffat Ara Dewan enthralled the audience with performance at the Praner Khela.The artiste is accompanied on stage by musician Almas Ali on the Violin; Nazmul Alam on the Mandira; Benjamin Sarkar on the Tabla and Daulatur Rahman on the Keyboard.

Iffat Ara Dewan’s musical journey with Bengal Foundation began in the early 1990s with the release of two LPs: Madhura Rupey Birajo (Rabindra Sangeet) and Haat Dhore Tumi Niye Cholo Shokha (old Bengali songs). These early recordings marked the beginning of a rich and enduring musical journey. Over the years, successive recordings by the artist have contributed to a veritable treasure trove of Bengali songs within the Bengal Foundation archive.

Bengal Foundation has been promoting Bengali music for decades in order to nurture and uphold the musical traditions of Bengal. The Foundation releases a wide selection of Bengali albums to the public, conducts workshops, and well as create opportunities to train under distinguished musicians at the Bengal Parampara Sangeetalay. Bengal Foundation’s music programme also frequently organises a number of large scale music events which include the Bengal Classical Music Festival. Bengal Foundation’s music programme aims to pave the way for better appreciation and understanding of the fundamentals of music; as well as to energise, influence and promote the music industry of Bangladesh.
