Robert Sockin believes that the Federal Reserve's decision to cut interest rates was mainly driven by concerns about the economy rather than any political strategy. He sees it as a typical move by the Fed to stimulate economic growth and ensure a soft landing. On the other hand Kenneth Polcari does not think that the markets reacted nervously to the Fed's decision. He believes that the rate cut was a response to a crisis situation.
