Ullrson is back with his sixth release of Viking Techno. Odin’s Wild Hunt features howling and growling wolves, croaking ravens, a battle cry, war horns, a lyre, an evolving and aggressive synth, a brooding low end and driving percussion. The track is inspired by the Wild Hunt, which is spearheaded by the Norse God, Odin, during the deepest winter and Yule. It involves a ghostly procession of hunters led by Odin riding through the sky or across the landscape. The hunt is often characterized by its chaotic and ominous nature, with the hunters chasing mythical beasts or lost souls. It symbolizes themes of death, the transition between life and the afterlife, and the untamed forces of nature. In many traditions, witnessing the Wild Hunt is seen as an omen or a sign of impending doom. Odin’s Wild Hunt is released on Friday, December 6th 2024, to coincide nicely with Yule.
