RAKUTO KURANO: Alien Abduction Suite

Rakuto Kurano confirms his multi-instrumentalist status in this performance of his ‘Alien Abduction Suite’, taking up the rarely-heard musical saw (as well as conducting duties). Rakuto writes,

“Two friends go on a trip but get abducted by aliens during their trip. They are taken to another planet and left there. Alien Abduction Suite was selected as the winning instrumental work in the 2020 UC School of Music Lilburn Trust Concert.”

In this SOUNZ Film Rakuto is joined by Ashleigh Min (flute), H Bloomer-Law (clarinet), Tor Chiles (bassoon), Ciaran Wright (marimba), Gabriel Baird (piano), Justin Hodges (violin), Aya McLarty (violin), Henry Nicholson (viola) and Ingrid Kosaka (cello).
