Outbacker Bargain Portable Wood Burner Review

I've been looking at these little #camping #woodburner #stove set ups for a while to add to our camping gear

There are several on the market I got this particular one from Amazon at a bargain price I think;

As I have a polish laavu, Hungarian zeltbahn and a german canvas pup tent one of these would be great for hot tenting when I'm camping by myself too although it does weigh 10kg (22lb) so not for backpacking

The kit came with a generous flue that including the spark arrester is 2.15m (7ft) and the stove itself is 0.45m (18inches) high so very comfortable to cook on when seated next to it

Before we use it properly I decided to do a test burn to deal with the factory fresh paint, and as it was going to be on anyway I put a cast iron skillet on it and cooked some little burgers at the same time that splattered fat everywhere!
