Sissi, Sisi or Σίσι (2024) is a coastal town in northwest Crete. It was founded in 2600 BCE by the Minoan Greeks on the island. During the Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman era it was an important harbour but lost its strategic position in modern times to the port of Agios Nikolaos. The town has a small beach inside the harbour (Limani Beach) and some beaches outside the town like Boufos Beach and Kalimera Beach. There are more or less 1,000 people living in Sissi.
