"What do you use?"

I'm asked that question about 365 times a year.... as if there's ONE chemical to clean cedar roofs, Azek decks, bluestone patios, ipe decks, painted clapboard siding, hardcourt tennis courts, plastic playground equipment, fiberglass boat hulls, concrete sidewalks, aluminum gutters, and composite shingles with. It's a loaded question. The truth is, I quietly shake my head at the results cleaners get when they try to wash the world with just ONE process or just ONE chemical.

"What do I use?" Without specific details regarding the particular job, the answer is far longer than the questioner suspects. So, I've decided to make this video to just BEGIN to answer that broad question, and to describe the most basic chemicals I carry in my exterior cleaning tool box.

The viewer may ask, "What's the BRAND NAME of these chemicals?"

For sodium hypochlorite, buy that from your local pool supply store. And as for sodium hydroxide... you're on your own. Proceed with extreme caution.
