Dance Instructions written by Lee Otterholt
Valle Kolonjare
(Albania)
A simple pravo-like dance I learned from Bardhi Polyani in Korce, Albania August 2018.
Pronunciation: VAH-leh koh-lohn-YAH-reh Translation: .
Music: 4/4 meter
Formation: Open circle; hands in W-position.
Steps and styling: Very flat (no bouncing) while music is slow.
Notation: Although the music has 4 cts per measure, I will, for the sake of simplicity and readability, notate a measure as having 6 cts because the dance has a 6-count pattern (like a pravo or lesnoto).
Notation:

Meas 4/4 meter Pattern
I. BASIC STEP
1 Facing diag R and moving R: Step on R (1), step on L (2), turning to face ctr, step on R to R (3), touch ball of L ft fwd twd ctr (quite straight knee) (4), step to L on L ft (5), touch ball of R ft fwd twd ctr (quite straight knee) (6)

VARIATIONS
On leader’s command, all turn CW (to R) on first 2 steps.
Leader turns to L and dances first 2 steps bkwd, then touches feet with second dancer on cts 4 and 6.
