QR X350 Pro, iLook 720 HD, Devo 10, Black Pearl 7” display - This was a very stable flight. Both batteries X350 Pro and Black Pearl were fully charged this time. Radio control was responsive. This unit had no telemetry and the video signal was lost due to what I think may have been height. I will never know how high she went. Against a clear blue sky I couldn’t see a thing from the ground. The Black Pearl was necessary for sure. Then the video went fizzy and blacked out. I triggered RTH at this point unit the video came back. It did and I slowly brought it back home as too many minutes passed in the air. 8 minutes in the air looking at a screen feels like an hour to me. That advertised 25 minute flight time does not include powering and manipulating a gimbal or a camera in record mode. I do not care to find out first hand how many minutes I get. I honestly do not want a flight time over 6 minutes (at least for what my goals are now).

Just like in Mission Planner, my next flight will be a planned mission, but charted and flown manually. I realized while editing this clip that I had no mission. I am still interested in high flying but the Walkera was not really built to mod. On that crashed flight my telemetry unit was mounted underneath the outside of the quad. After removing the battery, the black thick battery padding had curled up (there were signs of too much heat in the system). After viewing countless YouTube videos and my experience, it is my belief Walkera did not intend for us to modify these.

I did correct (Mickey-mouse) the pain in the ass battery door opening during flight. I show a picture of my fix for this at the end of this clip. It works for me. I’m studying Arduino now, very interesting programming software. Thank you for watching, all comments are welcome.
