My name is Kim Reaves. I'm the manager of Digital Media for the Americas at NACCO Materials Handling Group. We just did a session, we were a case study for Ektron this year. We did a global implementation of a website. We are a B2B company. We sell lift trucks, Hyster and Yale lift trucks. And our big project was to implement a global website, and that involved about 16 languages and we have four different source sites.

We've been sharing our experience with other people [at the 2012 Synergy Conference] regarding the challenges that we had, the successes that we had, and then helping them understand the challenges that they might have in deploying a global website. We had a lot of questions at the end of the session, which was really good. A lot of the questions were around process -- "the devil is in the details." I think we were able to help a lot of people out.

Your Favorite Ektron Feature?

Yes, I do have a favorite feature of the Ektron platform, and that is the PageBuilder capability. We don't use PageBuilder everywhere, we use a lot of Smart Forms, which is very nice, because we sell products and we're able to put the specifications in for those products. People can then search by those specs for our products.

But when it comes to the marketing part of me that wants to be able to develop something cool and snazzy with video or maybe RSS feeds or social media -- I like the fact that I can drag-and-drop onto a template that Realise [Digital] built for us, Realise was our vendor, and I can be creative without being put into a stranglehold about what we can do.

I also like the targeted content widget. I like the fact that we'll be able to show different users different pictures of different products based on what they've searched for either within the Ektron site or on a Google or Yahoo search.

What Have You Learned at Synergy 2012?

I really enjoyed the keynote. I always like hearing about what's new and what's coming. That's always what I hope to learn when I come to Synergy. This is my third Synergy conference. I also enjoyed watching the Site of the Year. I hope that we might be considered for Site of the Year next year, that gives something to shoot for. I also enjoyed socializing last night at the reception and meeting other people who are using Ektron and meeting the vendors who may have solutions that we can utilize in the platform.
