"What is one thing you learned in life?"
My answer to this question would be that resilience comes with time.

During my six-month stay in the capital city of Italy in the summer semester of 2024, I was quickly confronted with numerous challenges and realized that I needed to develop more resilience to adapt to the new lifestyle. To tackle this situation, I began taking photos during my daily walks in Rome and created digital collages that I later brought to life through animation.

In this video, I offer a satirical and abstract look at the everyday struggles of a typical Roman citizen. It highlights how resilience develops gradually as one learns to cope with the city's quirks—from navigating crowded metros to dodging the ever-present dog mess on the streets. This isn’t meant to offend but rather to serve as a lighthearted memento of my time in Rome. I hope those who have lived here can relate. I cherish Rome for both its breathtaking beauty and its imperfections, and I’m thankful for the experiences it provided me.
