In this video, I explain how the ongoing Iran, US, and Israel conflict could affect India and what it means for the Indian economy and stock markets. We start by looking at the two most important global factors during such conflicts, natural gas and crude oil, and how changes in their prices can impact inflation, interest rates, and overall market sentiment in India. I also discuss how long this conflict can last and what investors should realistically expect during periods of geopolitical uncertainty.

The video then shifts to a broader perspective by looking at how Indian markets have historically reacted to previous wars. By analysing six past war events, we try to understand whether such situations have had a lasting impact on markets or if they eventually turned into opportunities for investors. I also discuss phases in the past where markets delivered little or no returns for nearly 18 months and what those periods teach us about patience and long term investing.

Towards the end, we look at how valuations in the Indian market have improved over the past year and how India currently compares with other emerging markets. The idea of this video is to help investors look beyond short term fear and understand the bigger picture so they can make more informed investment decisions during uncertain global events.
