👤 About Dr. Ming Wang
Dr. Ming Wang is a Harvard and MIT graduate (MD) and one of the world’s few laser eye surgeons holding a PhD in laser physics. His life story inspired the award-winning film SIGHT, distributed by Angel Studios and based on his autobiography From Darkness to Sight. Arriving in America with only $50, Dr. Wang earned two doctorate degrees and went on to invent the amniotic membrane contact lens, a breakthrough that has helped restore sight to millions worldwide. He donated his patents to humanity and founded the Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration, providing free surgeries to children across the globe.
