Call to Worship (Psalm 149)
Leader: Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song.
People: We will sing God’s praise in the assembly of the faithful.
Leader: Let all the children of God rejoice in their Redeemer.
People: We will sing to the music of the guitar and the violin.
Leader: The Lord takes pleasure in those who are humble.
People: We will humble ourselves and sing of God’s virtues.
Leader: Let us glorify God as a sign of God’s faithfulness.

Prayer of Confession
Almighty God, forgive us when we use our tongues to curse
others rather than praising your name. Forgive our prideful words
and actions. Humble us that we might turn away from our sins to
serve Christ alone. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
