Hans Johannsson presents 'Knowing what to feel (changing paradigms in traditional violin making through technology)' at the Musical Organics Symposium held at STEIM in Amsterdam during May 2016. The symposium brought together specialists from diverse disciplines who all engage with the design and performance of new musical instruments, to explore the genealogy of musical instruments as an organic environment where features are borrowed, exchanged, translated or transduced between modalities such as the acoustic, electric, and the digital.
