The story follows his quest for justice, freedom, and answers to his haunting visions, pitting him and his new family against the shadowy Order of the Ancients, who seek control through ancient secrets, all while dealing with internal conflicts and the complex philosophy of the Creed itself in the vibrant, Golden Age of Baghdad setting.
